Following on from their first installation in the Kuji Shop window in March 2011 my giant daffodils have been on tour of various venues and events over the last year. They have grown in number and developed in structure. In 2012 they will be appearing at Secret Garden Party festival again and Kendal Calling festival too.
Hagglers Corner opening party September 2011
The daffs made an appearance at the opening party of the amazing new Hagglers Corner complex in Sheffield which includes studios, a craft and design showroom, workshop space, a cafe and a yoga studio.
Secret Garden Party July 2011
I was commissioned by Secret Garden Party to make an extra seven daffs for their amazing festival in Cambridgeshire. The daffs adorned the pagoda stage as part of a honey bee themed set and also were displayed in the glade area nearby. It was an amazing experience to work on a festival set up and provided me with lots of ideas and inspiration for future possibilities.
Parson Cross Library Spring 2011
During Spring 2011 the daffs were residents in the Parson Cross Library alongside my art residency there.
